A girl dances on an icy street, women in the Soviet era queue on icy pavements for the last of the bread, and an elderly lacemaker continues to work, but her memories dissolve like snowflakes settling on the ocean. Three settings of poems by Gregory Warren Wilson composed for mezzo soprano and saxophone quartet.

The songs were premiered in 2023 as part of the Late Music series of concerts in York with mezzo soprano Frances Gregory joining the Delta Saxophone Quartet.

An EP of the three songs was released as a CD and on all major streaming platforms on the 25th November 2024.
